Privacy: What FollowCheck Collects and Why
FollowCheck needs very little from you. You can backtest any wallet without an account, and the site sets no tracking cookies.
What we collect when you submit a wallet
- The wallet address you submit, plus the optional source type and source link. Source links are used only for internal counts and are never published.
- Your email address, so we can send you the backtest result.
- Your consent choice: whether you ticked the box to receive research reports and product updates, when you did so, and which version of this notice was shown.
- A hash of your IP address, used only to limit submissions to 10 per hour per network. We don’t store the IP itself.
Why
- To run the backtest and email you the link when it’s ready (or tell you if we couldn’t find trades for that wallet).
- Only if you ticked the box: to send occasional research reports and product updates.
- To keep the form free of spam and abuse.
We don’t sell your email, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything else. Wallet pages only ever show a wallet’s address and its public Polymarket name.
Feedback and error reports
- Feedback you send with the Feedback button: your message, its type, your email if you choose to give one (used only to reply, never added to a mailing list), the page you were on, the wallet view you were looking at, your screen size, your browser’s user agent and a hash of your IP address (to limit messages to 5 per hour).
- Error reports: when a page hits a script error or the API fails, the browser sends us the error message, the page address, the site version and the request ID, so we can fix it. No personal details are included.
- Sentry: script errors are also sent to the error-monitoring service Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.): the error message and stack trace, the page address, browser and OS type, and the last few actions on the page before the error (such as which button was clicked or which API request ran). Sentry sets no cookies; we have set it not to store IP addresses, and it records no sessions or screen replays.
Analytics
We count page views with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free: it doesn’t set cookies, use local storage or fingerprint your browser, and doesn’t track you across sites. We see aggregate numbers only (pages, referrers, countries, load times).
Unsubscribing
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom; one click stops all further email to that address. You can also write to us and we’ll remove your email and submissions.
